TC Psychology NBA Game Lakers and Golden State Warriors Discussion

on 02/28/2021, at 5:00 PM the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors will play each other in an NBA game. You will have an opportunity to earn extra credit points for completing this special assignment. And, if the team you predict to win the game actually wins it, then the number of points you get will be doubled. The assignment is due by the end of 02/27/2021.

Obviously, I can’t accept a submission once the game has already begun, so be sure to get it in on time. The extra credit assignment: Make a prediction about who will win the game and write an essay/paper about it. You will need to pick at least 3 variables that support your prediction. You can do a simple internet search to find websites that have NBA statistics and select your variables from there. For each variable, you need to explain: What it is (like, it’s name)What it measures How it is calculated What high or low values on the variable indicate What each team’s score on the variable is Why you think the variable is important At the end of the assignment you need to explain why your prediction might have some flaws. Please make sure that you use good logic, which means that if you pick a variable like “points per game” and the Lakers have a much higher value than the Warriors, then that will NOT support your prediction that the Warriors will win.

In my example below I only focused on team statistics, rather than individual player statistics, but you can use ANY statistics you can find.
