This week examines social interaction in our everyday life.  The essay

paper focuses on the theme of “Explaining and Applying Sociological Concepts.”
Please select one sociological concept discussed in either Chapter 2, 3, or 4. Examples of a sociological concept include terms such as subculture, culture shock, ethnocentrism, stereotype, Looking Glass Self, ascribed status, achieved status, role strain, role conflict, etc.
Your 2 full page essay paper will involve your applying  one concept to a personal experience in life past or present. It is recommended that you ask the instructor about a particular sociological concept if you are not certain.
*Do not select a macro sociological concept, but rather a micro sociological concept.
**You may write this essay in first person and the following steps are how you should construct your paper.

(1) In the first paragraph, please define and briefly discuss which one sociological concept that you will be applying to  personal life experience.

(2) The remainder of page one and most of page two will discuss the one concept as it relates to your own personal life experience.

(3) The final paragraph is a closing summary or conclusion of your discussion.
