• Is McDonaldization a good thing for college/universities or the career field you are interested in or currently employed in?
• How does it affect the way we learn or do our jobs?
• Is it a good thing for society? For example, Sociologist George Ritzer believed (as did Max Weber who spoke in terms of rationality) that the McDonaldization of society has cost us in the form of originality and creativity. He says we have paid a price for our devotion to uniformity, calculability, efficiency, and automation. What do you think?

 Answer

Mcdonaldization is not good for colleges because it would mean that classes that are taught the same make it more difficult for those who can’t adjust to the way the classes are taught. Only certain students would be able to understand with he teachings and their own goal. Mcdonaldization will make it so that we would have to work harder in our studies and jobs because of we would have to be predictably efficient of the demands that we get. It isn’t a good thing for society because it would make everything similar and boring even if one would save money. It should be about the unique experiences that one could be in society. This would make more pressure upon people and the expectations put upon them and make more people be replaced by robots that would be for efficient.
