In healthcare, telemedicine mental health is videoconferencing or telecommunication technology to offer mental health services. It is essential to the identified population and area as it simplifies the process of providing care by allowing professional to access patient’s accounts wherever within the U.S. For instance, “a mental health professional in urban areas may have access remotely or rural area who might not have adequate access to treatment” (IBCCES, 2020). As a result, implementing the telemedicine service for California’s mental health will diminish the shortage of mental health professionals in the area. The mission is “meeting and exceeding each mental health patient’s expectations while taking care of their individual healthcare needs so that they leave in the best health possible.” Telemedicine services are offered to a large population with many mental health patients.

It thus needs an improved system to lessen the healthcare professionals. It is why I chose this mission statement. I feel it encompasses what the facility needs. Besides, it communicates what is expected to be done (Churchill & Coolidge, 2018). To become a facility that offered quality and improved care that meets all mental health patient’s needs, regardless of where an individual is located or what their needs might be. The telemedicine service will be there from the beginning of an individual’s mental illness to the end when a person needs more help or when the unexpected happens, making the patient feel comfortable. The vision is “to better the mental health of California communities by providing friendly and exceptional high-quality telemedicine care services.” Vision statements are what make companies a success. According to Pownall (2017), “one of the shared characteristics of these businesses was a clear and inspirational vision framework that was easily understood by all employees, that acted as the guiding light for the company in the 2 uncertain future, and that stated what the company was going to do to achieve that vision.” The aim of this vision is thus to inform patients that all professionals in the Mental Health of California are technology savvy, friendly, and ready to offer exceptional high-quality telemedicine services to all patients. When mental health patients interact with the staff from the facilities, they should be greeted with a warm smile and a helpful attitude. Patients should understand everyone is there to help them as required. Therefore, with this vision, mental professionals will constantly use telemedicine services to put all people with a mental health condition first while improving and developing new innovative ways.
