The premise: Your group has been hired by a Foundation focused on animal welfare to determine which nonprofit should receive a grant. The Foundation has already determined from the narrative that three nonprofits are the top contenders for the funds. Your group is to analyze the financials submitted by the nonprofits and determine which nonprofit receives the funds. The Foundation focuses on grants to organizations that provide for animal welfare and plans to distribute $150,000 this year. Your group is to recommend how much, if any, the money is to be given to the three nonprofits. You can give it all to one nonprofit, or divide it up any way your group decides. The goal is to reach a consensus on how to distribute the funds. Each group must provide reasons for their decision. Once the decisions have been made and posted on the discussion board, each person is to comment as an individual on the decisions made by the other group.

The three nonprofits are: Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, Fryeburg Maine; Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (aka PAWS or PhillyPAWS), Philadelphia, PA and Voorhees Animal Orphanage, Voorhees NJ.
