I am doing a movie review on “Shawshank Redemption” (1994) having

to point out philosophical properties in the movie. However, I cannot make/see the philosophical connections with the movie. If you are familiar with the movie can you give me some insight into how philosophy is connected to the movie. The only thing I could come up with is Plato’s Allegory of the Cave but that didn’t really make sense in my mind, but if you see it, please explain how it applies. I am at a loss. Please let me know any philosophy connections in the movie. Thank you.
