In chapter 8 of  The Elements of Moral Philosophy, Rachels and Rachels consider the question: “Are consequences all that matter?” Watch the Trolley Problem video (https://youtu.be/bOpf6KcWYyw) and then consider this thought experiment—a variation on the classic Trolley Problem . In this variation, the trolley is speeding down the track towards your child. You could divert the trolley, but on the other track are five workers who would be killed. If you do nothing, the trolley kills your child. If you divert the trolley, your child is spared and the five workers parish. What should you do, and why? Explain your reasoning please.
