In this discussion board, I want you to “back” one of the social theorists

from this chapter: Comte, Martinueau, Durkheim, Marx, Weber, and DuBois.These theorists had very different ideas about how society works and their ideas provide the basis for the three theoretical paradigms you have been reading about in the book. Think of this as an analogy for voting. These are the candidates for the best early sociological thinker and you have to vote for one of these candidates, and you really want them to win.
Instructions:

-Make a post supporting the perspective of theorist you are backing. The key here is to point out why you think their perspective does the best job of explaining how society works. (E.g. I am choosing to back Marx because I think he is right in the idea that the economy is the driving force of society…)
-You also need to make posts critical of the other two theorists you are not backing. Make the critical posts as replies to other students (you can even be critical of the theorist you are backing in response to another student’s post. The key here is to point out weaknesses in the ideas of the other theorists. So you should have a total of three posts. (E.g. Marx is wrong to discount the role of culture in motivating behavior and affecting outcomes because beliefs really do affect behavior…)
