Netlogo Models
1. Indicate whether you created a new model or revised an existing one. If you modified an existing model, indicate the source of the original model (5%). 2. Describe the phenomenon that the model represents (10%). Here, you should not describe the code. Rather, tell us what real-world or idealized phenomenon the model represents. For example, “This is a simple ecosystem model of predators and prey. Ecosystems of this kind can exhibit a wide range of dynamics, from predator-prey cycles to extinction events. Here, we model Seals who feed on Seaweed, and Sharks who feed on Seals…” 3. Describe how the phenomenon is represented in the model. Here, your description should include the agents, the environment, and the main model parameters. Indicate those aspects of the real-world phenomenon that are included. Discuss how they are simplified (15%). For example, “In reality, Sharks might have several food sources beyond Seals. But here, we assume only this single food source.” 4. Describe how the model is implemented using code examples. If you modified an existing model, indicate those aspects that you changed and state clearly how you changed them (20%)
