Psychological Development

Consider that you are assigned to write a research paper, and you will take all of the theories you have learned about how gender, race, class, ethnicity, and sexual orientation shape psychological development and integrate them as they might impact the vocational development and career experiences of a worker in your field. Using at least 10 sources you have not read in class, you will describe the particular challenges people in your field face on the job based on their particular gender, race, class, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Describe how theories of vocational counseling succeed and fail in assisting diverse people in your field.  Your assignment is to submit an Annotated Bibliography detailing the question(s) you would be exploring in your hypothetical research paper described above. You are not writing the paper, only creating the Annotated Bibliography! Provide the search terms you used to get the outside sources and use 10 potential articles Reference that would be suitable research for your paper (13 pages including Cover page, Abstract, Annotations and Reference Page). All bibliographies must be written according to the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Publication Manual (5th edition), including but not limited to: Cover page, running head, headings, pagination, in text citations and references.  As college students, papers must be grammatically and syntactically correct, well organized, and reflective of a college education.  If students need help with organization, APA style, please consult the library’s website or speak with the professor.
