Your job is to review the literature regarding your chosen topic and clearly and concisely summarize that knowledge. Your review should include: An introduction that focuses and establishes the importance of the topic. You may want to review the background or history of the topic or identify assumptions and questions that exist. Your introduction should include a thesis statement; a concise summary of the main focus of your paper. A summary of the current state of knowledge in the field. You may want to talk about major discoveries that have progressed the field or controversial research findings. A conclusion that summarizes the evidence presented and its significance. You may want to talk about the state of knowledge in the field (Are there questions left unanswered? Are there practical applications to this research? What are the implications and possibilities for future research?). Your paper should be 4 pages (i.e., approximately 1000 words, double-spaced, excluding references). You should reference a minimum of 3 primary research papers, but feel free to use more (empirical papers; no review papers or articles from news sources). You may use your textbook as a source in addition to the 3 required primary sources. Please use APA formatting with 12 pt. font, Times New Roman, and 1” margins.
