Part 1: Falls remains to be one of the leading cause of serious injury among hospitalized patients reducing their ability to remain independent. According to the CDC, falls are regarded as the leading cause of death among the elderly above the age of 65 years, leading to more than 34,000 deaths in this vulnerable population. Tzeng et al. (2021) report that unintentional injuries due to falls are the second leading cause of death globally. The WHO has also mentioned deaths from falls as a serious and endemic problem among the elderly. A study conducted by Lucero et al. (2019) reported that from 2007 to 2016, the estimated rate of falls in the United States increased by 30%. A continuous increase in this rate is anticipated by the CDC to result in approximately seven deaths from falls every hour by 2030. Consequently, managing injuries from falls have resulted in an increased financial burden amounting to more than $50 billion in the united states in 2015, and over 3 million visits to the emergency rooms (Dykes et al., 2020). To avoid such burdens, several interventions have been proposed to reduce the incidences of falls in hospitals and promote the quality of life of the patient. However, limited evidence supports the incorporation of such interventions into clinical practice. As such, this project aims at determining the effectiveness of
