that a large bomb has been placed in a high-rise housing complex and will detonate in 45 minutes, certainly killing hundreds of people and wounding many more. It is the middle of the night, people are asleep, and it would not be possible to securely evacuate the building. You have captured the person you are quite sure planted the bomb and are interrogating him. You are the only person with the skills and training needed to get the information from the bomber in time. While you are desperately trying to prevent the disaster, you receive word that your 5-year-old daughter is being rushed to the hospital with a life-threatening traumatic injury. You cannot be both interrogating the prisoner in your downtown office and with your possibly dying daughter at the hospital.
